1. About StandWithLK

StandWithLK ("StandWithLK", "we", "our", or "us") is a web platform designed to help individuals and communities in Sri Lanka share information about damage caused by disasters and connect with donors, volunteers, and organisations willing to support rebuilding efforts.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of:

• the StandWithLK website and any related mobile or web applications (the "Platform"), and
• any services provided through the Platform (the "Services").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

We have done everything to verify the legitimacy of users on our platform to the best of our ability, to ensure a safe and trustworthy environment for our community.

2. Who may use StandWithLK

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

• you are at least 18 years old (or using the Platform with the consent and supervision of a parent/guardian), and
• you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and
• you will use the Platform in compliance with applicable laws of Sri Lanka.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe a user is under 18 and using the Platform without appropriate consent.

3. Account registration

To create reports, comment, or access certain features, you may need to create an account.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• provide accurate and up-to-date information,
• keep your login credentials secure and confidential, and
• notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Types of content

There are three main types of content on the Platform:

1. Your Content – information, text, images, location details, and any other material you submit when creating a damage report, uploading photos, or writing comments.
2. Other Users' Content – content submitted by other individuals or organisations.
3. StandWithLK Content – text, branding, design, code, and other material created by StandWithLK.

5. Your rights to Your Content

You keep ownership of Your Content.

By submitting content to the Platform, you grant StandWithLK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, use, reproduce, modify, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Platform and Services.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to upload and share any photos, text, or other material.

6. Prohibited content and behaviour

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information about damage or needs,
• share content that is hateful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or violent,
• upload explicit, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate images,
• share personal data of others without their consent,
• impersonate any person or organisation,
• request or accept money or goods through deception,
• attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the Platform,
• violate any applicable law, including Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

When a conversation is flagged by a user for violating these terms (e.g. harassment, scams), you acknowledge that Platform administrators have the right to review the recent message history (up to 10 messages) of that specific conversation to verify the claim and take appropriate action.

If there is no way to report anything through the app (e.g. specialized concerns or technical issues), please send us an email via the email given below (standwithlanka.25@gmail.com).

7. Location and mapping information

The Platform allows you to enter location details, paste Google Maps links, or mark locations on a map.

You understand that:

• other users may use this location information to find the affected area,
• you should avoid posting exact home coordinates if concerned about safety,
• we are not responsible for any misuse of location information you choose to share publicly.

8. No guarantee of aid or funding

StandWithLK is a platform for sharing information and enabling connections. We:

• do not guarantee that any user will receive donations or assistance,
• do not endorse or verify any donor, volunteer, or organisation,
• are not a financial intermediary and do not hold or transfer funds between users.

Any agreement or donation between users is strictly between those users.

9. Intellectual property

All logos, branding, design, and code created by StandWithLK are protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or use StandWithLK's name, logo, or brand without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Platform and Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
• We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• Users are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StandWithLK shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Platform.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
